DESIGN BY: JACQUIE ANDERSON
Jacquie Anderson, the in-house designer for Cherry Creek Design Build, began designing homes for Paragon Design and Development in 1988. For 15 years with Paragon and for the past 3 years with Cherry Creek Design Build, she has designed nearly 60 homes in the Hilltop, Washington Park, Observatory Park and Cherry Hills neighborhoods.

Jacquie designs new traditional homes that "fit" into the surrounding character of the existing neighborhood. These homes are unique and consistent in their attention to detail and use top quality materials.

Focus on functional as well as aesthetic space design within these homes results in homes that are comfortable, livable and "cozy" while at the same time being dramatic in use of unfolding sight lines. Several of her designs have been featured on the Washington Park Home Tour and outstanding or Homes of the Year in a local Hilltop Neighborhood publication.

When working with a client in creating a custom home, Jacquie begins with:

  1. Conceptual ideas for individual style and needs.
  2. After rough design plans and elevations have been approved, hard line drawings and begun with the "back and forth" process of completing the functional, circulation and aesthetic design of the home.
  3. With final approval of the completed plans and elevations of the new home, construction documents are begun, a process usually taking two to three weeks.
  4. Once those documents have been signed be a structural engineer, they are logged at Denver zoning and the Denver Building Department.
  5. Jacquie can work with clients throughout the project in selecting interior materials, fixtures, appliances and colors.
